/admins = View List of all [GM] characters currently connected.

Start off by killing a few Slime in the beginner zone, you will probably disconnect as you level up very fast, this is normal for here. just log back in, and keep killing slimes until you are lvl 350.

How do i chat with other players?

you talk with other players by typing various symbols before your messege
! = Red chat, this is called Global chat. it is visible to all players of both towns, including travellers
~ = Blue chat, this is called Ally chat or Town chat. it is visible to all players of your same allegience
$ = Yellow chat, this is called Party chat. it is visible only to players who are in your party
^ = Green chat, this is called Guild chat. it is visible only to members of your Guild

additionally you can type
/to ID = Gray chat, this is a private messege or whisper. only the 2 players involved can read it

to cancel whisper mode type /to

How do i set my hotkeys?

Note: make sure your F lock is off if your keyboard has one

1) first equip or cast the spell you want to hotkey
2) press and hold CTRL while pressing F2 or F3.

if you've done it right, you'll get a confirmation messege saying the item or spell is set to hotkey F2 or F3

Choosing A Town

From the starting spot if u follow the road, you find a split.
]Head left to join Aresden [worshippers of Aresien].
Head right to join Elvine. [worshippers of Eldiniel]

Whichever you choose, speak to the city hall officer, and request citizenship.

Next spend your stat points. this is coming of age for your character, you will decide to become a mage/warrior/battlemage/archer

Warriors Need:
300+ STR
500+ DEX

32+ INT


Mages Need:
500+ MAG
450+ INT
450 good enough for dmg spells and cancel 500 for cotg and sotg.

Battle Mages Need:
300+ STR
450+ INT (for cancel)
300+ MAG


Archers Need:
65 STR
700 DEX
32+ INT
550+ AGI

Stats
What are these stats and what do they do?

STR is Strength. for each 1 point of strength you recieve 2 HP. for each 10 points of strength u recieve 1% bonus physical damage. (normal servers this is 2% per 10 str) STR x2 also contributes to the MAX LOAD of your character (maximum weight). each weapon has its own STR requirement. Each type of armor and Shield has its own Requirement. 30 str for Chainmail, 40 str for tower shield, 100 str for platemail, 160 strength for Horned helmets. 300 for elite plate, 250 for icy/arena/majestic, 200 for elite wings, 300 for elite horns

DEX is Dexterity. each 1 point of DEX adds 2 points to your Defense Ratio. each 1 point of DEX over 50 adds to physical attack probability (hp%)

VIT is Vitality. Each 1 point of VIT adds 4 HP. each 100 VIT adds 1% to your overall Physical Absorb. 1/2 your VIT is your minimum Hit Point Recovery, your maximum Hit Point Recovery(HPrec%) is equal to your VIT. Stamina also recovers based on your VIT. although i am not sure of exact values.

INT is Intelligence. Each 2 points of INT adds 1 MP. each 1 point of INT above 50 also adds to ALL Magic Circle's Casting Probability. Each spell has its own INT requirement to learn. Several in game Items also require a certain amount of Intelligence to use.

MAG is Magic. Each 1 point of MAG adds 1 HP. Each 1 point of MAG adds 3 MP. each 1 point of MAG above 50 adds 1 to Magical Hitting Probability(HP%). each 1 point of MAG above adds 2 to Magic Resistance(MR%). MAG also adds bonus damage to magic traps(along with AGI)

AGI is Agility. Is required for traps and archers. it will add to bonus damage for Bows or Traps


Equipment

I suggest that you Sell Arrows, Throwing Daggers, and Armors to the shop for money to buy your gear, or ask someone to help you.

Mages = Buy the Master staff
Warriors= Buy the Master Hammer [PvM Weapon] / Master Sword [PvP Weapon]
BattleMages = Buy the Master Sword + Master staff[ + Master BattleStaff/i]
Archer = Buy the Beginner Axe + Master Bow (of your choice)

Upgrading your Equipment

Look in your Inventory Bag, you will see a little button called "[i]UPGRADE
".
Drag and Drop your Item from Above and Click Upgrade.
Continue to Upgrade your Weapon/staff until they are +15.
If you run out of majestic points keep hunting Slimes.(pit is in the top part of town maps)
Master Equipment will bind when it is upgraded.

Getting Critical Attacks

You can find Critical potions on ALL monsters. each one gives you 250 crits. you can also sell these to players for Gold.
50 Majestics (mj) can also be exchanged for 500 criticals by typing /getcrits (this potion also can be sold for Gold)

Raiding the Enemy Town

Speak to the City Hall Officer and teleport to enemy town.

Getting to Promiseland
[hr]
Inside your City hall, you will notice a glowing portal on the right below the "guild hall officer".
this is the Teleport to Promiseland.

Finding the Hellclaw
[hr]
In the middle of Promiseland you will Find Hellclaw.
In the lower left side of Field of Shattered Dreams you will find Hellclaw.
In the Dungeon Of the Damned you will find 3 Pits of Hellclaw.

Angels are buyable from the Shopkeeper in city hall.
You can upgrade these to a maximum of +10, using 1025 majestics

Angel of Smiting = Adds base physical damage
+10 = +40 Base Physical Damage

Angel of Sorcery = Adds Magical damage
+10 = +33 magical damage

Angel of Healing = Adds to your Max HP and Minor base Physical Damage
+10 = +1000 Max HP & +10 Base Physical Damage

Angel of Precision = Adds to Physical Hitting probability
+10 = +150 Hitting (physical and magical)

Angel of Corruption = -1000 Reputation While Worn


Necklaces

u will notice Necklaces of Protection.
they will give you 25% Absorbtion to the [Element]

u will notice Necklaces of Elemental.
they will give you 50% Absorbtion to the [Element]

note1: Necklace of Water Elemental Also Makes you Immune to Freeze.
note2: Necklace of Holy Order = Holy Elemental Necklace.

Rings

When their Endurance hits 0. they are destroyed.
they can be repaired at the shopkeeper before they are destroyed.

Ruby Ring = 10% ma vs ALL Elements
Emerald Ring = 20% ma vs ALL Elements
Ring of Dragon Power = +125 Physical Damage 100/100 uses

Mage / Battle-Mage Damage Rings
Ring of Wizard = +5 magic
Ring of Mage = +10 magic
Ring of Grand Mage = +15 magic
Ring of Archmage = +20 magic
Ring of Channelling = +25 magic
((Note: Battle Staff are affected by magic enhancers))

Warrior / Archer Rings
Ring of Ogre Power = +20 physical

Hunger Status

Periodically you will see these messages
"You are Hungry..." this means you need to eat some food or your will remain hungry
"You are Very Hungry..." this means you need to eat some food soon or else
"You are Starving!" this means you need to eat some food or you wont regenerate any HP/MP/SP
"You are Starving to Death!!!" you will not regenerate any HP/MP/SP and have 10% chance to fail any magic.
Eating more food Food will remove these conditions, for a maximum of 100 minutes


Magical Absorption Armor

Magical Absorbtion armor has been changed into more specific purpose, each piece that u wear of the same type stacks up and adds to your total % for that element. maximum value is 100% for each element. at 100% you take 0 dmg by that element.

Fire = protects you from fire based magic(Flames)
Earth = protects you from earth based magic(Nature)
Air = protects you from air basd magic(Winds)
Water = protects you from water based magic(Ocean)
Holy = protects you from holy based magic(Gods)
[fade]Unholy[/fade] = protects you from unholy based magic(Corruption)
Unattuned = This means this armor Requires Attunement.

You can buy ANY Basic Elemental Attunement potion from Shopkeeper and apply it to this armor or shield.
Until it is attuned it protects you from nothing.


All About Reputation
[hr]
You can check your reputation by typing /checkrep
All Characters start with a neutral reputation 0
Maximum Reputation is +10000 and the lowest reputation is -10000
on this server, reputation does not have any effect on rare drops.
on many other servers, it does.

You can give other players an evaluation once every 60 Minutes [3600 seconds.]
One Evaluation is worth 5 reputation points.

to give a Positive evalution type in
/rep+ ID

to give a negative evaluation type in
/rep- ID

Kloness Potions are Available on the Gladiator Trade for 2 Gladiator Points (+25 reputation)
Kloness Potions are Available With Alchemy Level 18 (+25 reputation)

Corruption Potions are Available on the Gladiator Trade for 2 Gladiator Points (-25 reputation)
Corruption Potions are Available With Alchemy Level 18 (-25 reputation)

by killing your own townsmen you will become a criminal and lose 10 reputation (minus 10)

Reputation has an effect on 3 types of weapons Righteous, Kloness, and Corruption.

Righteous
you get a +1 bonus base damage per +100 reputation above your enemy
max +5

Kloness Weapons
you get a +1 bonus base damage bonus per +100 reputation
to the limit of 10000 reputation points.

Corruption Weapons
you get a +1 bonus base damage bonus per -100 reputation
to the limit of -10000 reputation points.


Kloness Wands
you get a +1 bonus base damage bonus per +250 reputation
to the limit of 10000 reputation points.

Corruption Wands
you get a +1 bonus base damage bonus per -250 reputation
to the limit of -10000 reputation points.

Reputation also affects the following Magic:

Vampiric Gaze
this UNHOLY Spell requires -2000 Reputation to Cast.

Strike Of The Ghosts
this UNHOLY Spell requires -5000 Reputation to Cast.


Reputation affects Healing Spells:
o Positive Reputation Increases the amount Healed.
o Negative Reputation Decreases the amount Healed.

Reputation affects How Poison Affects You:
-5000 Reputation Poison no longer Damages you.

As your reputation continues towards -10000 you will begin to heal from being poisoned.

Wanted Sytem
[hr]

o You will become "Skulled" when you kill enemy players in the enemy's home town.

o Your Wanted level will be shown under your name as shown above.

o Wanted players will lose 5 EKs for dying while they are Wanted regardless of their level.

o Killing a Wanted player will give you a reward

o You can view the list of Wanted people from the City Hall officier.

Wanted Level Required Kills to gain level
1 = 1 kill
2 = 5 kills
3 = 10 kills
4 = 15 kills
5 = 20 kills

Wanted Level Rewards
1 = 1,000 Gold + 5 Eks
2 = 2,500 Gold + 10 Eks
3 = 5,000 Gold + 15 Eks
4 = 2,500 Gold + 20 Eks + 1 Zemstone
5 = 5,000 Gold + 25 Eks + 1 Zemstone

Note: These EK Rewards are in addition to the 5 EK that is given for Killing an Enemy Player.
Hero Armor
[hr]
By killing the Enemy Players u earn Enemy Kill points [EK]
One Kill is worth 5 points.

EK's can be Exchanged for Hero Equipment, which u cannot lose by dying.

Hero Cape is 300 EK, and it bears your town symbol. other than being patriotic, it has no benefits:(
You can Upgrade your Hero Cape using a Merien Stone +30 EKs and turning it into a Combatant Hero Cape.
((Note: you must relog while wearing the cape for the sprite to change))

The Hero Mage Set consists of the Following Pieces, and Requires 20 Str to wear

Cap = Cost 100 EK
Robe = Cost 200 EK
Hauberk = Cost 100 EK
Leggings = Cost 150 EK

Benefits of wearing Full set:
+100 Magical Attack Probability (hitting %)
+25 Magical Damage per hit
+150 Magic Resistance

The Hero Warrior Set consists of the Following Pieces, and Requires 100 Str to wear

Helm = Cost 150 EK
Armor = Cost 300 EK
Hauberk = Cost 100 EK
Leggings = Cost 150 EK


Benefits:
+100 hitting probability with Weapons
+50 Physical Damage per hit

The Archer Set consists of the following Pieces, And Requires 52 STR to wear

Hood = Cost 150 EK
Leather = Cost 250 EK
Hauberk = Cost 100 EK
Leggings = Cost 150 EK


Benefits:
+100 hitting probability with Bows
+50 Physical Damage per hit

So Now you've gotten a Hero Set, and u want to upgrade to Godly See upgrading equipment above

Each Piece of Hero Armor that you upgrade to Godly costs Additional EK Count and Gold Pieces

Lets Look at the Costs:
Godly Cap = 1000 EK + 150,000 Gold Pieces
Godly Helm = 1500 EK + 150,000 Gold Pieces
Godly Robe = 2000 EK + 150,000 Gold Pieces
Godly Legs = 1500 EK + 150,000 Gold Pieces
Godly Hauberk = 1000 EK + 150,000 Gold Pieces
Godly Armor = 3000 EK + 150,000 Gold Pieces
Godly Hood = 1500 EK + 150,000 Gold Pieces
Godly Leather = 2500 EK + 150,000 Gold Pieces


Full Mage set costs 5500 EK + 600,000 Gold Pieces
Full Warrior set costs 7000 EK + 600,000 Gold Pieces
Full Archer set costs 6500 EK + 600,000 Gold Pieces

Plus the cost of your base hero set

Godly set works as a stand alone set, u can not mix it with "Hero" set for damage bonus

Full Godly Set has the following Bonuses
Benefits of wearing Full Mage Set:
+200 Magical Attack Probability (hitting %)
+50 Magical Damage per hit (final damage)
+300 Magic Resistance

Benefits of wearing Full Warrior/Archer Set:
+200 hitting probability with Weapons
+100 Physical Damage per hit (final damage)

Hero's Blade costs 5000 EK points
Hero's Staff costs 5000 EK points

Call Of The Gods Magic costs 10000 EK points (Requires Full Mage Godly Set Worn to cast)

Hero blade is 442 str to full swing
Hero Staff is 39 str to full swing

Hero Staff is MS60 and adds +25% bonus damage

GodlyBlade : costs 7500 EKs it is an upgrade from +14 Hero Blade

GodlyStaff: costs 7500 EKs it is an upgrade from +14 Hero Staff

Godly Staff is MS75 and adds +35% bonus damage

Gladiator's Arena
[hr]
Speak to NPC City Hall Officer at City hall to Teleport to the Gladiator Arena.
If u die u will not drop any items, nor will u lose anything.
If u choose to Continue u will respawn randomly in the arena.
If u choose No, u will return to City Hall.

Here all Arena Kills will give 1 Kill Count.
25 Kill Count will Earn you 1 Gladiator Title Point.

The title for gladiator goes as follows

1 pt = Novice Gladiator
3 pt = Fierce Gladiator
5 pt = Mighty Gladiator
10 pt = Deadly Gladiator
25 pt = Terrifying Gladiator
50 pt = Conquering Gladiator
100 pt = King's Gladiator
250 pt = Emperor's Gladiator
500 pt = Adept Gladiator
1000 pt Vanquishing Gladiator
5000 pt = Legendary Gladiator

Gladiator Title Points(gp) can be spent at the City Hall:

o 1gp = 10 EK Count
o 2gp = 1 Corruption Potion
o 2gp = 1 Kloness Potion

Basic Guide to Equipment

New Prefix/Suffix Stats[b]
Sundering = Item has Armor Piercing which will reduce the Physical Absorb of the target. called AP in game. Ranges from 1 - 20% [Weapon]
[i]Note the upgrade from blacksmith Usable on appropriate Master Weapon replaces any existing New Prefix/Sufix Stat with Armor Piercing 5%.
Triple = Item has Triple Area Attack which hits a larger area [Battle-Staff]
[Monster-Type] Slaying = these will do additional Final damage to the [Monster] Types from 50-1000 [Weapon / Staff / Battle-Staff]

[Elemental] = Extra Magical Damage when the Matching [Element] Spells are used. Ranges from 1 - 20% [Staff / Battle-Staff]

Strong = Item has increased Endurance. [Weapon / Armor / Shields]
Agile = Weapon requires 13 less Str to attain 'full swing speed' [Weapon]
Righteous = increased damage with higher Reputation. see All About Reputation above.[Weapon]
Sharp = Weapons Damage dice increases by +1 example 2d10 -----> 2d11[Weapon]
Ancient = Weapons Damage dice increases by +2 example 2d10 ---> 2d12[Weapon]
Vampiric = Weapon will give you some HP on each hit.[Weapon]
Light = weight of the item is decreased by the percentage shown. meaning lower strength can equip[Weapon / Armor / Shields]
Critical increase = this increases the chance of crit recovery when you take damage (base % is 10)[Armor / Shields]
Mana Converting = this gives you MP when u receive magical damage based on the % (base % is 0)[Armor / Shields]
Critical = This adds to the weapons damage on critical attacks (after all bonuses).[Weapon]
Magic Casting Probability = increases the probability of successful magic casting [Staff]
Poison = This weapon can poison targets and they will take damage over time [Weapon]

suffix stats

Poison Resistance = this increases your chance to resist and recover from being poisoned[Armor / Shields]
Hitting Probability = this increases your base chance to strike ur foe with magic or physical [Weapon / Staff /Battle-Staff]
Consecutive Attack Damage = increases the damage when u strike ur foe multiple times in a row [Weapon / Staff / Battle-Staff]
Defense Ratio = Increases your overall defense ratio used to avoid being hit by physical attacks. this means u are less likely to be hit both by monsters and players. often worn by warriors in warrior vs warrior duels[Armor / Shields]
Magic Resistance = Increases your overall defense vs magic. does not reduce damage, but makes you less likely to be hit by magical attacks both from monsters and players. often worn by mages in mage vs mage duels[Armor / Shields]
Hit Point Recovery = this improves the amount of health you regenerate as a percentage based on your VIT.[Armor / Shields]
Health+ = this improves your maximum health by the amount shown. Maximum Value +250.[Armor / Shields]
Mana Point Recovery = this improves the maximum (not minimum)amount of MP you regenerate as a percentage based on your MAG.[Armor / Shields]
Stamina Point Recovery = this improves the amount of Stamina you regenerate as a percentage based on VIT.[Armor / Shields]

Magical Absorbtion = This reduces the amount of damage taken by magic. see all about MA above [Armor / Shields]
Gold+ = this increased the amount of Gold dropped by mobs [Weapon / Staff / Battle-Staff]
Exp+ = this increases the amount of Experience earned when u kill [Weapon / Staff / Battle-Staff]


NOTE: Armor means all equippable armor locations including boots and capes
[PA does function on Boots / Shoes they add to Leg Location]

these new items are 2 handed staffs that shoot magic when u attack depending on the Type, you can also use them like a normal staff to cast spells also.
they have considerable long range (same as storm bringer)
each time you attack your MP reduces.
if you use a critical, the damage is increased as well.

to obtain ores from a mining rock, u must first equip your pickaxe. press and hold CTRL. and "attack" the rock with the pickaxe.

Beginner Dungeon has mine rocks with no Crystal
Shopkeeper sells RockScrolls for 1,000 Gold both normal rocks and crystals spawn from this

Title Level x 3% = mining success (minimum 3% maximum 100%)
the title has 25 levels so max is 75% from skill and +25% from pickaxe
Different Rocks have penalties to mine from 0% to 70%, reducing your successful chance of mining.

Pickaxes also affect your mining success
Pickaxes require 130 str to fullswing

+5 = Beginner available for gold in Shopkeeper
+10 = knight primary rare drop
+15 = legion primary rare drop from Ogre
+20 = master primary rare drop from WereWolf

Note that these gems need to be enchanted by the magic sorceror for a small fee. (100 majestic points to install)

Stackable = Having 2 of the same gem in a Mithril [Chest] / [Shield] will stack the effect
Not Stackable = Can be used with any other Gems, and do NOT STACK if you use 2 of the same
(I.E. Blood Gem = only 1 bloodgem effect use per set)

Blacksmithing
First make sure your hands are Free (either by holding a wand and 1 hand free or by equipping nothing)
Double click the Smith's Anvil to open the Blacksmithing Menu.

o Mithral Ore

Advanced Materials used in Blacksmithing

Level 0 = Iron Bars = These are currently made by 5 Iron Ore
Level 1 = Super Coals = These are currently made by 5 Coal
Level 2 = Silver Bars = These are currently made by 5 Silver Nuggets
Level 5 = Bronze Bars = These are currently made by 5 Bronze Ore + 5 SuperCoal [5 Bronze + 25 Coal]
Level 7 = Steel Bars = These are currently made by 5 Iron Bars + 5 Super Coal [25 Iron Ore + 25 Coal]
Level 10 = Gold Bars = These are currently made by 5 Gold Nuggets
Level 10 = Ultra Coals = These are currently made by 5 Super Coals
Level 10 = Mithral Bars = These are currently made by 5 Mithral Ore + 5 Ultra Coal [5 Mithal + 125 Coal]

Arrow Smithing (This is yet to be changed)
Each Bar Smithed will give 100 Arrows

Level 5 = Iron Arrows = 1 Iron Bar
Level 7 = Steel Arrows = 1 Steel Bar
Level 10 = Silver Arrows = 1 Silver Bar
Level 13 = Golden Arrows = 1 Gold Bar
Level 15 = Platinum Arrows = 1 Bronze Bar
Level 20 = Mithral Arrows = 1 Mithral Bar

Bronze Armor Set

Thank you Tav very much fo your guide and your ingame help to me. My character is Melthor and you shared the basics of HB rebirth with me few days ago.

I played helbreath last time 4 years ago in a free finnish HB server and it was quite different to this one. It was not essentially a PvP server and exp played a big role there. Also the level limit was 180 which I almost achieved. Back then I knew very well all the optimal stats for each class; mage, warrior and different variations of battlemages. However in rebirth its obsiously quite different since there are 475 levels. Therefore I would like for people to share their opinions of the optimal stats for each class so all new rebirth players could pick their favorite set, so that not everyone has to experiment things themself. Of course I know that many variations are matters of preferance but at least some sets of stats are absolute. For example in the server I used to play you HAD to have certain int to be a blizzmage. And an ES bmage should NEVER have more than 67 int and so on. Also I have learned that there are plenty of new spells and weapon types. Could someone provide some information about them too? Also I have learned that money plays no role here. Is this true? What about manufacturing and alchemy, do they have any role in rebirth? And last but not least: does anybody know a more conventional, free (and respectable) HB server where I wouldn't need to learn everything from the beginning? (No offense to the moderators, I find your server very respectable and respect your work)

Well theres nothing more to learn in here execpt for the new magic system compared to most Free pvp servers, tho there still is few of these 180/200 private servers out there which would be alot alike what you have played (SuomiHB i guess?) So i'd say stick with us, alot ppl will surely advice you and help with questions ingame,

As this is a begginers guide i want to ask a begginers question :D

In other topic someone explained the use of lesser wands as it follows:

My question is: What happens if i use ESW or HB using steam lesser Wand (water and fire)?? 15% bonus damage applies?? What kind of dmg it would be??

the +15% bonus dmg applies regardless of spell casted
the damage split occurs only for the 2 types on the wand. other spells are unaffected.

Yea I got a question maybe you can answer.

How much atributes does each angel add.. like

How much Dmg does Smiting add and how much more for each +1?
How much hp does Healing add and how much more for each +1?
etc...

I'm not sure abut DMG angel but for Healing angel each upgrade +1 gives +100 to total HP so if the angel is +10 you get the +1000 bonus.

im not sure how the dmg angel works but for me it adds around 200dmg per hit at+10

damage angel adds to base damage, which gets increased by your damage bonus [+1% per 10 str and +1% per 10 levels] and multipled by your crit bonus 4.75

battlestaffs should be using magical hitting....

anything that affects magical damage affects a battlestaff
