Helbreath is a MMORPG for the PC, designed by Korean company Siementech co, Ltd. Initially launched as a Korean-only game, it was soon reintroduced as Helbreath International; serving as an open-beta for the general public. Helbreath USA was later franchised to iEntertainment. Other official licensed servers include Helbreath China, Helbreath Japan, Helbreath Asia, and Helbreath Taiwan, and numerous unlicensed free private servers.

New players start out as a Traveler in the Beginner Area allowing them to pick which town they wish to play for they must decide whether to acquire citizenship in Aresden, or Elvine other wise they continue to stay as a Traveller. This choice will reflect their PvP status amongst other players in the world. Aresden and Elvine are hostile nations. Helbreath has a very open PvP setting; allowing and encouraging enemy Combatants to attack at-will and almost anywhere. When a player kills an enemy combatant, an Enemy Kill point is gained. These points may be eventually exchanged for Hero Armor. It is also optional for combatants of the same nation to attack each other. However, if a friendly player actually goes through with killing another friendly player, a penalty is incurred by the offending character being given a "criminal count" and being made an enemy to everyone until their criminal kill count is 0. Killing people from the same town gives "negative rep" which has an impact on righteous and kloness weapons.

Each level gained in the world of Helbreath will allocate 3 additional stat points, which the player will use to increase stats. Stat points also determine your skill levels.

Stat	Attribute
STR (Strength)	Increases physical damage, maximum stamina, maximum load, maximum health, allows usage of heavier weapons and armor.
DEX (Dexterity)	Increases accuracy, dodge, defense.
VIT (Vitality)	Increases maximum health, health regeneration, maximum stamina, stamina regeneration, physical and magical damage absorption.
INT (Intelligence)	Increases maximum mana, casting probability, allows learning of better magic spells.
MAG (Magic)	Increases maximum mana, mana regeneration, magical damage, magical hitting probability, magic resistance.
CHR (Charisma)	Decreases cost of vendor items, allows one to become a Guild Master.

Below are some suggested stats to use, keep in mind these are only good to base off of and will vary from server to server.

Upon reaching the maximum level, it is traditional that the player will receive a special-issue set of gear, otherwise known as Dark Knight or Dark Wizard equipment. This gear can only be equipped by the player that earns it much like Hero Amors. The character is also given a weapon or wand depending on their stats, this item can be upgraded with Majestic Points you earn by continuing to hunt and kill for experiance after maximum level. Majestic Points also allow the person to get other items and change their stats.

1. Installing Helbreath
Basic files you need to get started.

First you will need to the original Helbreath game install. Left-click on any of these links: Site 1, Site 2, or from helbreathusa.com and select Save... (Internet Explorer), Save File... (FireFox), Save As... (Netscape) to download a clean copy of Helbreath:

Select a convenient location for the download file on your PC and click the Save button.

The file will now download. This may take a quite a while being 250mb, be patient.

Once the download has finished run the installer to setup the game.

After installed it is wise to run Helbreath.exe prior to anything else to gurantee you have the latest files updated. This will also replace any changed or missing files from your install incase youve replaced or deleted any.

2. Patching for a Private Server
Play Helbreath for free.

Visit Hellbreath World or view more private servers to download their Client, Contents, Mapdata, Sprites and anything else they require for you play.
Make sure to read the entire website for details.

Once you have the files you need, make sure that they all are extracted into separate folders.

You may need WinRAR or WinZip to extract files.

Double click on the Client folder and select all the files (edit > select all). It is key that you copy the files and not the folder.

Copy all the files within the folder (edit > copy or cut) to put the files to put them into memory for later.

Locate your original Helbreath USA install folder. (most likely C:\Helbreath USA)

Paste the files (edit > paste) from the Client folder, making sure to overwrite any prexisting files if asked in the main Helbreath folder.
It is key that you are copying the files and not the folder. Overwriting folders will cause you problems and youll have to start over.

Make sure that you are copying the files and not the entire folder.

After you have copied the Client files over, you do almost the same process to the Contents, Sprites and Mapdata files. The only difference being is you put them into the folders labeled the same. You should have folders labeled Contents, Sprites and Mapdata in the main Helbreath folder.

Copy the files from the downloaded Contents folder to the Contents folder of the main install. Overwriting any and all files if asked.

Make sure that you are copying the files and not the entire folder.

Copy the files from the downloaded Mapdata folder to the Mapdata folder of the main install. As well as copying the files from the downloaded Sprites folder to the Sprites folder of the main install following the guideline from the others. Overwriting any and all files if asked.

Run the client.exe file to start the game. For most servers you will then click Create Account from within the game to establish your account for their server.

You are now ready to play Helbreath for free.
